LRS Ice Rink

The LRS Ice Rink is a 4000 square-foot outdoor rink located on the lawn of the Old State Capitol in Downtown Springfield. Sangamon CEO high school students manage the project.

Sangamon CEO students raised the funds for the LRS Ice Rink by visiting local businesses, pitching the idea to them, and receiving donations. The rink is named after Levi, Ray & Shoup, Inc. (LRS) – a global computer software company based in Springfield, the title sponsor of the project.

The first season of the ice rink was a great success! The ice rink is scheduled to open in November 2022.
